Men can benefit from this book as well as their wives. David has insight in this field and expresses it concisely and effectively for the reader's benefit. I have always be blessed by articles and blogs and dvd presentations by David.
It was a good book. Some parts seemed obvious, others not so much. It is always interesting to hear information like this from a guys' perspective.
Wonderfully insightful and refreshingly direct. While not everything applied to my marriage, the stuff that did has opened those dark doors of understanding. I learned many of the lessons the hard way in my first failed marriage. Happily remarried, I will not make the same mistakes twice. I've underlined so many passages and am recommending it to several of my friends as well as my production team at church. Excellent. Do your man and your marriage (and yourself by proxy) a favor, and read this book!
A well written instructional book for women that deals with understanding her husband's needs and wants. Would recommend to any woman wanting a better understanding of her husband's desires.
This is the first marriage book I've read that seemed to honestly let a woman see how a man thinks and feels. To me it helps explain so much about my husband. We have been married 42 years and I could have used this year's ago! I am ashamed to admit I have not appreciated and made room for his gifts and strengths. I believe God lead me to this book as I have been seeking His help and insight into a better relationship. Hopefully it can still happen.
Thank you Mr. Murrow for your willingness to open yourself so that we all may gain understanding and strengthen our marriages. I would recommend this to any wife who truly wants to build a better marriage through the insights you reveal about men. It makes sense!
I can't tell you how I came upon reading this book but I consider it the best read I've had in years. My wife and I have encountered difficulty in the past several years or so and can't seem to make any progress in our relationship. After reading this book, which I felt was spot on with the way I feel, I gave it to my wife. I wish that I could say she took it seriously but no such luck, therefore out relationship continues to suffer and I will it end soon. I want to thank David for providing me with a lot of answers that I couldn't find elsewhere. For the man that feels as if he is standing alone in the world surrounded by those that don't understand him reading this publication is enlightening. I highly recommend it to every man that over the age of 60 and especially one with a military background.
You changed my understanding of men. I bought 8 of your books to give family for Christmas including teenage grandkids both male and female. I want them to all get an understanding of men. My grandsons, so they will have more confidence and self assurance and my granddaughter, so she will have that information as she moves in relationship building.
